1934 Changed name to Gunze Silk Corporation
1939 Relocated head office to Kobe
1942 Changed name to Gunze Trading Co., Ltd.
1945 Commenced trading in other types of textiles
1949 Established branch office in Osaka
1952 Relocated head office to Chuo-ku, Tokyo
1955 Established subsidiary in New York, USA
1956 Expanded business into the industrial products field
1961 Designated an approved trading partner by the Chinese government
1970 Established subsidiary in Dusseldorf, Germany and Hong Kong
1971 Changed name to Gunze Sangyo, Inc.
Relocated head office to Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
1973 Stock listed on 2nd Section of Tokyo and Osaka stock exchanges Established subsidiary in Sao Paulo, Brasil
1978 Stock listing upgraded to 1st Section of
Tokyo and Osaka stock exchanges
